The Canadian 2023–2025 Immigration Levels Plan embraces immigration as a strategy to help businesses find workers and to attract the skills required in key sectors and different regions of the country, including small towns and rural communities to manage the social and economic challenges Canada will face in the decades ahead.

So, between 2023 to 2025, the country is estimated to receive about 1 Million newcomers, the largest ever in a single year. This includes immigrants who are searching for Jobs as well as refugees and permanent residents. 

Express Entry is one of the most popular immigration routes. It is free to join the Express Entry pool, and doing so not only allows you to apply for Canadian immigration but also allows you to be nominated by a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Canada will also welcome 82,880, 109,020, and 114,000 in 2023, 2024, and 2025 respectively through the Federal High Skilled stream, mainly managed by Express Entry. The stream includes newcomers through the Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class programs.

The Atlantic Immigration Program will also grow to 14,500 newcomers by 2025, and other economic pilots to 14,750. 

Canada’s Family Class category will grow to 106,500 in 2023, then 114,000 in 2024, and 118,000 by 2025.

After getting the Job offer, you head over to the Canadian immigration website, click on sign up, and follow the message prompts to create your Express Entry Profile. Also, ensure you add all your skills and qualifications. This will be used to rank you against other applicants. If you click on submit and save your reference number, it will be asked for later. Now you’d have to wait for the draws to occur from which, you will be nominated by a province in Canada. Then you can start applying for your work visa.

But for some reason, you are not able to get a job, which is rare considering the number of Canadian job resources available. So, if by chance you are not able to get a job offer. Then you can:

You can apply through Express Entry as a Federal Skilled Tradesperson. However, you have to possess a Canadian skilled trade certificate or qualification in the same trade that you are applying under. Other ways you can apply is through the family sponsorship visa category, or the entrepreneurs’ program.
